About me

Zifeng Zang is a Philadelphia-based abstract artist and art educator, whose work merges academic training with expressive, intuitive exploration. Raised in China, she began formal academic art education at an early age, building a strong foundation in drawing, oil painting, and composition rooted in classical technique.

After earning dual BFA degrees from Jilin University in China and West Chester University of Pennsylvania, Zifeng turned her focus toward abstract painting, developing a signature style marked by movement, layered color, and emotional resonance. Her work has been exhibited across the United States, including Muse Gallery (Philadelphia), InLiquid Gallery (Philadelphia), Delaware Contemporary Museum (Wilmington), and Folkways Volunteer Gallery.

In addition to her studio practice, Zifeng is the founder of a long-running educational program specializing in K–12 art instruction and portfolio preparation. Her students have received national awards, including Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, and have been accepted to top-ranked universities and art programs. Her teaching combines structured academic training with personal exploration, helping students of all levels express themselves with both technical confidence and creative freedom.
